It absolutely is. Collection of outside perspective can give greater context, but even that might not reveal truth. It can be a valuable step, though, in stopping the rumination process— having open and honest conversation with trusted advisors allows for new angles to be viewed and connections to form. It may not give a complete picture but it can assist in releasing your mind back to the present.
